About The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager to join our Southern sales team, based in Queenstown and Wanaka and looking after the wider
Central Otago region. This dynamic role focuses on both managing existing accounts and developing new client relationships. We are looking for someone with a strong track record in sales (3+ years) ideally within plumbing, technical sales, or the broader building industry. You will bring a blend of relationship-building skills and a true hunter mentality - resilient, driven, and never satisfied with second place.
Your Responsibilities
- Acquiring new customers and building a strong sales pipeline.
- Maintaining and growing existing accounts.
- Implementing strategic growth initiatives.
- Delivering consistently high levels of customer service.
What you'll bring
- Building relationships with our customers to better understand their unique business needs.
- Execute the Plumbing World brand professionally, drive sales, and ensure best practice.
- Achievement of sales targets in line with KPI's.
- Excellent execution of brand activity within accounts and engagement with key clients.
- Reach and exceed sales targets for Plumbing World products and drive sales.
- Prospecting and growing Plumbing World's sales and margin.
- Maintaining regular and efficient service to customers in your territory & beyond.
- Striving for constant improvement in; knowledge, service, technical know-how, efficiency, and genuine behaviour while adding value to Plumbing World and your customers' businesses.
- Troubleshoot on-site with customers, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Preparing quotes and tenders in accordance with company's sales and pricing policy.
- Supporting the Branch Managers & wider team to deliver a high level of customer experience.
A quick glance at what we need from you:
- Bring ideally 3+ years' account management and planning experience.
- Identifying additional development and engaging directly with relevant stakeholders.
- Strong numeracy skills to understand the financials, set budgets, and report effectively.
- Strong time management.
- Lead, develop and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Development of customer contact strategies.
- Ensuring business plans support and align with existing and future contracts.
- Deliver commercially viable sales plans in line with the overall company sales strategy.
- Work with inside sales and other branch staff to meet customer needs.
- Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence.
- Exposure to the plumbing or wider construction/trade sector is preferred.
