We're looking for an Administration Services Officer to join our team at Hauora Ability Services Halswell. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll be the friendly face at reception, help connect people with the right support, and keep the systems behind our service running smoothly each day.

About The Role

Working closely with managers and clinical staff, you'll coordinate operational processes that keep the service running smoothly each day. As technology, AI and modern business systems continue to change the way administration works, we're looking for someone who enjoys learning new systems, adapts well to change and looks for practical ways to improve how work gets done.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinating reception and front-of-house enquiries
  • Recruitment support and coordination, utilising our HRIS
  • Providing administrative support for residents and their whānau
  • Staff rostering support
  • Coordinating day-to-day business systems

About You

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, creates a positive first impression, coordinates work well and follows tasks through to completion.

Ideally we are seeking someone who has the following experience and attributes:

  • Previous experience in an administration or coordination role
  • Experience working in healthcare, disability services, or aged care (preferred)
  • Confident learning new technology
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Patient, professional and responsive
  • Sound judgement and initiative

Hauora Ability Services supports people living with disability to lead engaging and fulfilling lives. Our 60-room residential site is situated in attractive grounds in Halswell with award-winning gardens. The facility has an onsite gym and Rehabilitation and Therapy team, who support residents living in our care. Our services employ over 300 people in Canterbury and Wellington.
