Mobile Patrol Team Leader role helps keep properties secure, tenants and staff safe, and ensures our mobile patrol team delivers a consistent, professional service across the region. This is a hybrid operational/leadership role, balancing hands-on patrol duties with office-based coordination, administration, and team leadership responsibilities.

This is a full-time role working a set roster of Sunday morning 0500-1430 and Monday-Wednesday evenings 1430-0000.

The role

As a Mobile Patrol Team Leader, you will lead a team of Mobile Patrol Officers delivering high-quality patrol services, alarm responses, and customer service across a portfolio of commercial, retail, and residential sites throughout Auckland.

Working closely with the Patrol Services Manager, you'll set the standard for professionalism, safety, and customer service while helping develop a high-performing team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and support a team of Mobile Patrol Officers.
• Coordinate patrols, alarm responses, and service requests across multiple sites.
• Conduct patrols, site inspections, lock/unlock services, and welfare checks.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and customer requests, liaising with clients and emergency services as required.
• Support the onboarding, training, and development of patrol staff.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and operational standards.
• Complete incident reports, shift handovers, and operational documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, company policies, and site procedures.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to a positive team culture.

What You'll Bring

• Current NZ Certificate of Approval (COA), or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience in mobile patrols, security operations, or a similar role; leadership experience preferred.
• Clean criminal record and ability to pass pre-employment checks.
• Full, clean NZ Driver Licence with a safe driving history.
• Confidence using reporting, rostering, and Microsoft Office software.
• Strong communication, observation, and incident reporting skills.
• Comfortable working alone when required and making sound decisions under pressure.
• Leadership skills, including coaching, conflict resolution, and team development.
• Professional, reliable, and committed to confidentiality.
• Safety-focused with a customer-first approach and flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand and aged 18+.
