Bring your technical expertise to Christchurch City Council and help shape the systems, information and data that support Council's property portfolio. Your work will improve how property information is governed, managed and utilised, enabling smarter decisions across the organisation.

About the role | Ko te mahi nei

As the Property Business Systems and Information Lead, you'll provide technical leadership and act as Council's business champion for property business systems, information management and data governance. You'll provide the centre of excellence for property business systems leading continuous improvement and ensuring Council's property information remains accurate, trusted and fit for purpose.

You Will

  • Lead the ongoing development, governance and continuous improvement of Council's property business systems, including SAP RE-FX and associated property business applications , while partnering with other business owners to deliver integrated enterprise solutions.
  • Champion information management, data governance and business process improvement to ensure the quality, integrity and sterwardship of Council's property information.
  • Develop reporting, dashboards, performance measures and business insights that support operational performance and strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Digital, Finance, property professionals, business units and external providers to improve system integration, information quality and business outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on property business systems, reporting, information management and property data governance.
  • Build organisational capability through technical guidance, documentation and training that promotes consistent, compliant and effective use of Council’s property business systems.

You're someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, data and business. You build effective relationships, think analytically and are motivated by finding better ways to improve systems, processes and information.

You Will Bring

  • Significant experience working with enterprise business systems within complex organisations, ideally in property, asset management or similar environments.
  • Experience with SAP or comparable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Experience with SAP RE-FXor similar property management systems will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in business process improvement, information management or data governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into practical business solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A tertiary qualification in Property, Information Systems, Business, Accounting, Computing or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead data quality, information governance or business process improvement initiatives that deliver measurable organisational benefits.

  • Hours of work - Monday to Friday
  • Position - Full-time, permanent
  • Location - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street, Christchurch
  • Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $105,450 to $117,167 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
