Equipment Technician / Diesel Mechanic

The Opportunity

Our Greymouth team is searching for an experienced heavy equipment technician who wants to work with a strong team, with great pay, career progression, and a better way of life on the West Coast. This position is perfect for a self-motivated doer with a background in mechanical trades, preferably someone who has experience with Mining, Construction and/or Forestry equipment. We are looking for someone that we can invest in and support your professional development. In addition, you will be joining a driven, professional business of like-minded people with future opportunities across NZ.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Greymouth, West Coast, working a minimum of 40 hours per week. The pay rate for this role is $42 – $48 per hour, dependent on skills and experience. There is 1 position available, and relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

• Health and Safety Commitment, it is our number one priority here at CablePrice. We look after ourselves and look after each other.
• Heavy Diesel or Automotive Qualification with a minimum of 3 years experience, OR at least 4 years relevant work experience as an alternative to formal qualifications.
• Mechanical capability and technical skills; diagnosing faults and servicing heavy equipment
• Good diagnostic ability with analytical thinking to navigate the complex issues that come up in our day-to-day challenges
• Confidence in your computer literacy and a committed, customer-focused mindset
