Outdoor Timber Specialist (Sales & Customer Service)

We're looking for someone who enjoys helping customers, isn't afraid of hard work, and is just as comfortable leaning on a farm gate talking all things rural as they are rolling up their sleeves to help in the yard.

About the Role

We're looking for our next Outdoor Timber Specialist to join our team at 25 Wallacetown-Lorneville Highway, Invercargill.

This is primarily a customer-facing role where you'll:

• Build strong relationships with our rural, trade and DIY customers
• Help customers choose the right products for their projects
• Prepare quotes and process sales
• Promote Goldpine products and solutions with confidence
• Merchandise and maintain an inviting retail environment
• Assist in the yard preparing and loading customer orders when required
• Operate forklifts (experience is an advantage, however training can be provided)
• Help keep the yard safe, tidy and well presented

You'll be part of a small team, so a willingness to help wherever needed is essential.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5.30pm, with Saturdays (4 hours) worked on a roster approximately 1 in 6 Saturdays.

What we're looking for

You don't need previous timber industry experience—we can teach you that. What matters most is that you:

• Enjoy building relationships and providing outstanding customer service
• Have confidence talking with customers and finding solutions that meet their needs
• Have an interest in farming, rural communities or outdoor projects
• Are reliable, motivated and willing to learn
• Can safely undertake physical work and manual lifting when required
• Hold a full New Zealand Driver Licence

Experience in retail sales, customer service, farming, building supplies, rural merchandise, forklifts or machinery would be an advantage, but is not essential.
