AI Enablement Lead
Northpower
Location: Whangarei, Auckland, Tauranga or Hamilton
About The Role
AI is already changing the way we work, and at Northpower we're focused on helping our people unlock its potential in ways that are practical, safe, and genuinely valuable.
As our AI Enablement Lead, you'll play a key role in shaping how AI is adopted across the business. Working with teams at every level of the organisation, you'll build capability, confidence, and understanding, helping people move beyond curiosity to real world application.
You'll lead AI literacy initiatives, facilitate workshops, establish communities of practice, and grow a network of AI champions who can influence and support adoption across the business. You'll help teams identify opportunities, assess value and risk, and guide them towards the right AI tools, platforms, and approaches.
This is not a role focused on building AI solutions yourself. Instead, you'll act as an advisor, coach, connector, and change agent, helping people embrace new ways of working while ensuring AI is adopted responsibly and consistently.
Success will be measured by the capability you help build across Northpower, the confidence you create within teams, and the business value generated through greater adoption of AI.
About You
You may come from a background in digital transformation, change management, business improvement, consulting, innovation, analytics, modern workplace technology, product management, or technology advisory.
Most importantly, you're passionate about helping people adopt new technologies and ways of working.
You'll bring
- Experience leading organisational change, capability uplift, or adoption programmes
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Experience facilitating workshops, training sessions, and group discussions
- The ability to translate complex technology concepts into practical business outcomes
- Experience working across both business and technology teams
- Exposure to AI, automation, analytics, digital workplace technologies, or emerging technologies
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative, curious, and pragmatic approach
- Confidence operating in fast-changing and evolving environments
- You'll also have a solid understanding of technologies and concepts such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot Studio, automation platforms, generative AI, prompt engineering, responsible AI, data governance, privacy, security, and risk management.
If you're excited by the opportunity to help shape how AI is used across a large organisation, empower others to innovate, and accelerate meaningful change through technology, we'd love to hear from you.
