Catering Assistant - Elizabeth Knox Kitchen

• 40 hours per week
• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 10:30am – 7:00pm
• Saturday, Sunday: 6:00am – 2:30pm

An exciting opportunity has become available at Elizabeth Knox Home & Hospital, one of our largest aged care kitchens, located in Epsom. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Catering Assistant to join our dedicated team.

Working alongside the Chef Manager and kitchen team, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals to up to 260 residents each day. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, and you'll play an important part in creating a positive dining experience for our residents.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with food preparation and meal service
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
• Washing dishes and supporting general kitchen operations
• Following food safety and hygiene standards
• Working safely with commercial kitchen equipment, hot trays, and large pots
• Supporting the team wherever needed to ensure smooth daily operations

• Has good time management and organisational skills
• Is comfortable working independently when required

• Demonstrates respect, compassion, and care when working within an aged care environment
