Customer Account Manager (HVAC Service Operations)

The Opportunity

This is a key role in the continued growth and success of VAE’s NZ HVAC Service business.

Based in Christchurch and reporting to the NZ Service Manager, you will take ownership of leading day-to-day HVAC service operations while identifying opportunities to grow the business.

You will be the link between VAE customers, technicians and the branch, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. From reviewing quotes, job documentation, supporting technicians and building trusted customer relationships, you will drive operational excellence and commercial success.

What You’ll Be Doing (includes, but is not limited to)

• Lead, coach and support a team of HVAC Service Technicians
• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and deliver agreed service levels
• Build trusted customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional service and project work
• Review quotations, job orders, timesheets, invoices and service documentation
• Monitor labour productivity, profitability and branch performance
• Partner with the NZ Service Manager to achieve revenue and customer satisfaction targets
Champion safety, quality and continuous improvement

You will also bring:

• Experience leading or coordinating HVAC field-based service teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and customer relationship skills
• Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
• Confidence reviewing quotations, invoices and operational documentation
• The ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience within HVAC, mechanical services, facilities management or another technical service industry
• Ideally you will have the right to live and work in New Zealand
A trade background is highly regarded, but we're equally interested in experienced service leaders who understand how to balance operational performance, customer relationships, and commercial outcomes
