YOUR TASKS
Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will lead a team of purchasing professionals and be responsible for the end-to-end purchasing function across both production and new programme activities. This is a fixed-term opportunity until December 2026.
Working closely with local and global stakeholders, you will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, optimise inventory, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure uninterrupted supply to production while maintaining high quality performance.
- Lead and develop the Purchasing team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiations and commercial agreements.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and security of supply.
- Support new product introduction and programme purchasing activities.
- Monitor supplier performance, inventory levels and supply risks.
- Ensure accurate purchasing master data within SAP.
- Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Logistics, Quality and Global Purchasing teams.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, corporate standards and health and safety requirements.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who enjoys building strong supplier relationships and influencing positive business outcomes.
- 3-5 years' experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Materials Planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership experience leading and developing teams.
- Strong negotiation and commercial management skills.
- Experience using SAP (desirable) or a comparable ERP system.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent analytical, planning and organisational abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- The ability to work effectively within a global business environment.
- A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
