YOUR TASKS

Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will lead a team of purchasing professionals and be responsible for the end-to-end purchasing function across both production and new programme activities. This is a fixed-term opportunity until December 2026.

Working closely with local and global stakeholders, you will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, optimise inventory, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure uninterrupted supply to production while maintaining high quality performance.

• Lead and develop the Purchasing team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations and commercial agreements.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and security of supply.
• Support new product introduction and programme purchasing activities.
• Monitor supplier performance, inventory levels and supply risks.
• Ensure accurate purchasing master data within SAP.
• Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Logistics, Quality and Global Purchasing teams.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, corporate standards and health and safety requirements.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys building strong supplier relationships and influencing positive business outcomes.

• 3-5 years' experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Materials Planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong negotiation and commercial management skills.
• Experience using SAP (desirable) or a comparable ERP system.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent analytical, planning and organisational abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset.
• The ability to work effectively within a global business environment.
• A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
