At Westaways, Walter Peak, you'll help create memorable experiences for guests from across the globe - particularly our growing number of Mandarin-speaking visitors. One minute you'll be welcoming guests in Mandarin, the next you'll be serving coffees, helping visitors find the perfect souvenir, sharing local knowledge, or supporting food and beverage service.

We're looking for a friendly and energetic Mandarin Guest Experience Host to join our team at one of Queenstown's most iconic destinations. If you're passionate about hospitality, enjoy working with people from different cultures, and are fluent in both Mandarin and English, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

Every day is different, but you'll spend your time:

• Welcoming and assisting Mandarin-speaking guests throughout their Walter Peak experience
• Providing language support and helping guests feel informed, comfortable and cared for
• Preparing and serving food, coffee and beverages
• Selling gifts, souvenirs and RealNZ experiences
• Creating eye-catching retail displays and keeping the store looking its best
• Assisting with stock control and merchandising
• Helping maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
• Supporting your teammates to deliver unforgettable guest experiences

What we're looking for

• Fluent spoken and written Mandarin and English
• I year of experience in retail
• Minimum 3 months experience in hospitality
• A genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with international visitors
• Someone who enjoys variety and can juggle multiple tasks
• Barista and/or bar experience is a bonus
• A Duty Manager's Certificate is a bonus, but not essential
