Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
Reporting to our General Manager – Regulatory & Policy Affairs, you’ll sit at the heart of the business—partnering closely with our in-house Legal team, Risk team, and Corporate Affairs, as well as senior leaders across SkyCity.
This is a highly visible role where you’ll influence decisions, shape regulatory strategy, and help ensure we continue to operate responsibly while delivering world-class experiences.
Providing trusted legal and regulatory advice across SkyCity’s operations
Keeping us ahead of change by monitoring and interpreting new legislation and regulatory developments
Supporting senior leaders to make informed, commercially smart decisions
Leading regulatory submissions, licensing applications, and key communications
Building strong relationships with regulators, along with external and internal stakeholders
Proactively identifying risks and driving compliance across a complex regulatory environment
Mōu | About You
A law degree (LLB) and admission to practice in New Zealand with a minimum of 5+ years post qualification experience
Extensive experience in regulatory, legal or compliance roles
A sharp, strategic mindset with the ability to navigate complex, evolving issues
Strong stakeholder skills—you know how to influence, collaborate and build trust at all levels
The ability to translate legislation into practical, business-friendly advice
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with great attention to detail
