Yard & Customer Service

Hynds is looking for a hands-on, safety-focused Yard & Customer Service team member to keep our branch running smoothly — loading trucks, operating the forklift, and delivering great service to our customers.

About The Role

• Load and unload trucks safely and accurately
• Operate the forklift to move, store, and load/unload product
• Keep the yard tidy, organised, and well-stocked
• Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any issues
• Support stocktakes, cycle counts, and stock adjustments
• Assist customers with orders, queries, and product advice
• Receive and check inwards goods against paperwork
• Report hazards, near misses, and incidents
• Help maintain branch appearance and housekeeping standards

What We're Looking For

• Full Class 1 NZ driver's licence with F endorsement
• Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained)
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Great customer service skills and a can-do attitude
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to lift and move products up to 20kg
• A reliable team player who takes ownership
