The Role
This Office Manager role is a hands-on position responsible for the day to day running of the office alongside core financial administration functions. You will take ownership of invoicing, debtor and creditor management, payroll support, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely processes that support business performance.
Working closely with management and operational teams, you will also play a key role in improving workflows, adopting automation tools, and enhancing overall office efficiency. This role requires someone who is confident rolling up their sleeves and personally delivering high quality work across finance and administration functions.
Role Requirements
- Proven experience in an Office Manager, Accounts Administrator, or similar role
- Strong background within the construction industry, including project-based invoicing and subcontractor workflows
- High proficiency in MYOB and Xero
- Experience with payroll systems such as Crystal Payroll or similar
- Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Demonstrated ability to manage debtor control and reduce aged debt
- Understanding of profit and loss reporting and financial performance drivers
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communication skills, particularly when managing overdue accounts
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and keen to leverage automation and AI tools
